Rosita Kaamasee comes from the late George Cheechee Haloo family of noted Zuni artists. He is one of the most important carvers known for sculpted animal necklaces often referred to as fetish necklaces. Continuing in the extraordinary carved necklace tradition, Rosita's gathered a myriad of her feathered friends and Bears in an approximately 27" long stunning triple-strand necklace. The creatures are presented in a colorful array of materials such as serpentine, lapis lazuli, zebra stone marble, angel skin pink coral, branch red coral, iridescent mother-of-pearl, spiny oyster shell, turquoise, denim lapis, gold lip shell, young fluorite, watermelon serpentine, dolomite, red abalone, marble, Picasso marble, black lip shell, fish rock serpentine, Zuni travertine, pink mussel shell and green marble. The wonderful animal's average is size from about 3/4" to 1 1/4" long. They share the strands with gorgeous baby olive heishe beads. Eyes are drilled and filled with jet or pipestone paste.
