Turtle has been carved from Apache Gold with pyrite. The largest sea turtles, leatherbacks are endangered due to incidental capture in fishing equipment, loss of habitat, egg collection, and pollution from things like garbage and plastics floating in oceans. The Pacific leatherback turtle populations are most at-risk of extinction. These beautiful reptiles are unique because they lack scales and a hard shell, having existed like this since the age of dinosaurs. Measurements are approximately 1 5/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 5/8" tall.
