Brandon Phillips' alabaster Beaver works hard as it holds a little wooden stick in its mouth. It has turquoise inlaid eyes and an overlaid tail of jet, pipestone and turquoise. Beavers play an important role in keeping wetlands and other places healthy through their dams. About 3" tall, 7/8" wide and 1" tall.

Brandon is from the Leonard Halate family of Zuni artists. His uncle is carver Herbert Halate. His cousins are carvers Justin Red Elk and the Natachu brothers.
