Vince Chavez's Zuni travertine Eagle is simple and stunning. The lines of the carving are smooth and soft with just enough detail to convey the powerful grace of the creature. The pattern of the Zuni travertine is painterly with pops of color from small voids inlaid with azurite. The eagle has a fierce gaze from sharp eyes of inlaid turquoise. With a refined sophistication the perched eagle measures about bout 2 5/8" long, 1" wide by 1 1/2" deep.
