A
Turtle is divided into segments called scutes. These hard scales are shed as a turtle matures, replaced by a new layer underneath. Herbert Halate's inky jet reptile has eight of these scute segments on its carapace, which are each accented with a single bright blue turquoise stone. The smoothly sculpted jet has a satiny gloss to the polished surface. Turquoise eyes are also inlaid to this approximately 3" long, 1 5/8" wide by 1" tall fetish, who is ready for adventure and reminds us to always go with the flow.
