Well-known carver Freddie Leekya's strong steer or bull has been carved from a gorgeous variety of travertine local to Zuni Pueblo. Colorful turquoise hooves secure every step, a long tail swats away pests and neat non-removable horns are carved from wood. Little eyes from turquoise convey a sweetness. An overlaid mouth is from pen shell. About 3 1/4" long, 1" wide and 2 1/4" tall.
