Watchful Prairie Dog

There are five species of prairie dogs, some of whom are endangered. Their biological relatives include chipmunks, groundhogs, woodchucks and marmots. Squeaky calls might sound repetitive but are actually descriptive to each other. Sedrick Banteah's darling Picasso marble prairie dog watches another colony through turquoise inlaid eyes. Their underground homes are called prairie dog towns, which also provide shelter for other animals like ground owls. About 1 7/8" tall, 7/8" wide and 1" deep.
