The tropical oceans around Japan are where lovely Pacific green snail shells are found. Vickie Quandelacy carved two Corn-maiden
sisters on the body whorl area of a whole and gorgeous Pacific green snail shell, with natural blue and green hues. One maiden wears an overlaid necklace of elegantly carved pen shell, turquoise and red coral. Their facial features are etched and darkened with jet paste. Incised stars and Dragonflies
accompany them. A bit of crushed turquoise representing water is at the apex of the shell. Creatively presented on a colorfully speckled ceramic tile base, they measure approximately 3 1/4" tall, 2 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep.
