Abraham Peina's latest offering is a handmade reticulated sterling silver, rich 14K gold and iridescent paua shell pendant. Paua is an edible abalone from New Zealand. Indigenous Māori regard the shell as a symbol of fertility and the interconnectedness in creation. The shell's changing hues represent transition. The stunning shimmering shell is often used in jewelry and other ornamentation. Including the bale, measurements are approximately 2 3/4" long and 1" wide. Signed by the artist.
