Fabulous Frogs are found all over Mother Earth except Antarctica. One species lives as far north as the Arctic Circle, the impressive wood frog. These resilient amphibians have adapted to cold climates by literally freezing during the winter to the point where their little hearts stop beating and their precious lungs no longer breath in air. Their cells are protected by a sugary-like antifreeze. When temperatures warm up, they begin to thaw out and get back to their happy frog doings. Kenric Laiwakete's frog is warmed up by the green and blue fire within the labradorite specimen. Alert eyes and a heartline or breath path are from lovely turquoise inlays. About 1 7/8" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall.
