Fred Bowannie Jr.'s Bear carvings have the most expressive demeanors. This sweetie is no exception carved from indigenous Sugar Daddy travertine from the Nutria area on the Zuni Reservation. The inclusions in the stone give this upright bear a wonderful dimensional look. Soft brown eyes are from inlaid pen shell giving them a knowing depth. About 2 1/4" tall, 7/8" wide and 1" deep.
