Snakes are efficient hunters consuming a variety of rodent pests. As both predator and prey, these important reptiles provide a necessary balance to a healthy environment. Danette Laate's precious snakelet has delicate cross hatching and eyes from bright blue turquoise. A rattler is creatively worked from the natural variations within the spiny oyster shell.
