Lightning appears in a zigzag shape because it follows the path of least resistance. Snakes have a lightning association in Zuni Pueblo tradition. Adrian Cachini's gorgeous snake zigzags through the desert looking for shelter. Wild reptile mothers are sentient beings who protect and warm their young weeks after hatching. Carved from a sgraffito-etched marble and inlaid with turquoise eyes, this fine friend is about 4" long, 3/4" wide and 1/2" tall. Etchings include a rattler, Zuni Rainbirds, feathers and blooms.
