Corwin Yamutewa started carving in the summer of 2003 as he apprenticed with prolific artist Brian Yatsattie. Corwin's talented hands brought about this spectacular smooth softshell Turtle
from a vibrant piece of serpentine. This sweet creature looks up with a sweet disposition and red coral eyes. The carapace is true to the turtle's name, smooth and with out any incised segments. The smooth softshell turtle is native to North American and can be found from New Mexico to Pennsylvania. The little green pocket turtle measures about 2 1/8" long, 1 1/8" wide by 1 1/4" tall.
