Salvador Romero's latest offering is a powerful
Wolf (
Coyote or
Fox). He found just the right stone from Cochiti Pueblo country with a desert varnish. This lovely natural patina is composed of minerals as well as other particles such as sand grains and trace elements that have hardened over long periods of time. The desert varnish lends itself to the look of shedding fur, how cool is that. About 5 1/4" long, 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" tall.
