Bryston Bowannie's wise Raven (or crow) is a living shadow soaring through the sacred Zuni skies. He began carving animals in 1988 but was originally a Katsina doll woodworker. Sculpted from black marble, this turquoise-eyed talker is approximately 3 1/4" long, 3 3/8" wide and 7/8" tall. Intricate incising adorns all-over plumage, even the underside. The offering bundle has a lovely turquoise in matrix point along with turquoise and pen shell beads.
