Roadrunner Runs Across

A roadrunner's tracks are impossible to follow due to the fact they are shaped like the letter X. They are fearless birds who have been known to take on a rattle snake. Because of these traits this fierce bird has a role in many healing and curing rites. Abby Quam and Clayton Panteah carved this roadrunner from a gorgeous turquoise that is mostly brown "host" rock, or matrix, with clouds of turquoise. About 2 3/8" long, 1 1/2" tall with inlaid eyes of inlaid turquoise.
