This offering is sold.
From the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in Colorado, the mighty Rio Grande river flows through New Mexico and is home to many wildlife species including the bluegill fish, a member of the freshwater sunfish family. Master carver Hudson Sandy's rendition of the bluegill is phenomenally worked from Picasso marble. Natural light green, grey and golden tan hues inhabit the stone and are further beautified by intricate scale and fin features. Eyes are from blue turquoise inlays. A collectible water creature swimming in at about 3 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 2" tall.
