Carved from rich deep blue sodalite with many interesting inclusions this bird by Cheryl Beyuka is truly something special. The graceful sweep of the overall shape is accented by the beautiful necklace of turquoise, clam shell heishe, and natural red coral. This pretty bird is about 4" long, 3" wide, and 2" tall with eyes of inlaid coral. A bird rich in happiness as it is in color, deep happiness.
The Beyuka family was originally well known for their wonderful inlaid jewelry until Cheryl started carving fetishes with the help of Elvis Westika. She then taught her brother Philbert Beyuka, and her son Eli Westika to carve.
