Daphne and Leland Boone's approximate 2 3/4" long, 1" wide and 1 5/8" tall jungle puma (Mountain-lion, cougar or panther) peers through red coral inlaid eyes at the thick vegetation and dense overgrowth of its jungle home. A spiny oyster shell point with turquoise is attached in a lovely side offering bundle to a serpentine specimen resembling a lush rainforest. Leland's mother is Lena Boone whose grandfather was Teddy Weahkee (d), a major carver during the middle decades of the twentieth century. Leland's grandmother, Edna Leki (d) created extraordinary fetish necklaces. Her sister is Dinah Gasper and her brother was carver Anderson Weahkee (d).
