Some view a dazzling Hummingbird as a "feathered bee" because as they sip nectar from a flower, grains of pollen adhere to their bodies. Like other pollinators such as a butterfly or bumblebee, pollen is transferred to the next bloom they visit. Numerous plants depend on a hummingbird's pollinating services. Kevin Chapman's graceful hummingbird dips down to drink at about 1 1/4" long, 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall. It's been essentially carved from an attractive turquoise displaying natural teal green and blue hues.
