Pinolith is an intriguing metamorphic rock found in Austria, Spain and Canada. It's named for the appearance of gorgeous magnesite, dolomite and graphite inclusions that look like delicious little piñon nuts. Andres Lementino's protective mother Bear and cub are carved from pinolith to a size of approximately 3 1/8" tall, 1 7/8" wide and 3/4" deep. Colorful turquoise inlays are shown for the endearing eyes, necklaces and paws.
