Perched Parrot

Talkative parrots have been integral to many ancient Indigenous cultures for thousands of years. They were regarded as spiritual messengers and were treated with great care even ritually buried as discovered in archeological sites at Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. Their bright colors have been associated with fertility and life. Jonas Hustito's perched parrot is carved from travertine and has a precious beak and turquoise eyes. About 2 7/8" long, 1" wide and 1 7/8" tall.
