The A:shiwi (The People) teach we are interconnected with all beings including feathered friends who teach us to notice the small things in life. Because of its simplicity and an incised 'X' in its back, this is an old-style bird by Evalena Boone. Carved and nicely polished from a verdant serpentine, wide awake eyes are from red coral inlays. About 2 3/8" long, 1" wide and 7/8" tall.
