Habitat fragmentation has severely effected Mountain-lion (cougar, puma or panther) populations in states like California. They desperately need wildlife crossings over highways to allow them to mix with other populations and maintain genetic diversity. Wildlife crossings also assist in avoiding collisions between vehicles and animals. Ernie Mackel III's smoothly sculpted mountain lion is from picture jasper. Friendly eyes are from turquoise inlays. A tail is long and lovely. About 2 3/8" long, 3/8" wide and 3/4" tall.
