Momma Possum & Babies

Opossum are amazing prehensile-tailed marsupials, the only of their kind existing in North America. They are considered living fossils because ancient fossil finds reveal skeletons of small mammals that have remain unchanged for millions of years, the ancestors of modern day opossum. Like kangaroos, mother opossum carry the babies in a pouch but when they get too big, they'll adorably hitch a ride on her back.
