Miniature Hopi Broad Face Katsina Doll

Hopi Broad Face katsina is an important guard who carries yucca whips to keep transgressors in line during Hopi religious doings. Alvin Leon must have excellent eyesight because the tiny details on a miniature cottonwood katsina doll are astounding. The intricate woodwork is decorated with feathers, acrylic paint, leather, fur, thread and yucca. Measurements are approximately 4 3/4" tall, 2" wide and roughly 2 1/4" deep including the base.
