A commanding
Bison is smoothly sculpted from a gorgeous leopard marble. Eyes and powerful horns are from turquoise. Horns provide bison (or buffalo) the ability to fend off predators. Bison are especially important to the Plains Indigenous tribes whose main sustenance once depended on the vast herds. The entire bison body was used, nothing was wasted. Prayers of appreciation were offered for the abundance they provided. Lynn Quam's collectible bovine measures about 4" long, 1" wide and 2 3/8" tall.
