Bobcats excel at hunting in the wild. They often ambush prey by patiently waiting motionless and then pouncing on it using the same hunting technique as Mountain-lions. Loren Tsalabutie's relaxing wildcat takes a break from the hunt carved from fascinating indigo gabbro, a mineral found in Madagascar, Alaska and Russia. Indigo refers to the distinctive natural patterns that hold deep blue, purple and black hues, while gabbro is the geological classification for the type of dark, coarse-grained rock. A tiny offering necklace has bright branch red coral and serpentine beads. Thoughtful eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 2 3/4" tall, 1 7/8" wide and 2 1/4" deep.
