Zuni artist Brion Hattie, Sr. learned to carve close to 30 years ago from his late brother carving great Jeffery Tsalabutie. He's garnered prestigious awards like earning a 1st place blue ribbon at Santa Fe's annual SWAIA market some years ago. He shared that one of his favorite animals to sculpt are Bobcats. We're adoring a tidy little wildcat from Petoskey stone that's a small 1 1/2" long, 5/8" wide and 1 1/8" tall. A ruffed face has turquoise eyes and a colorful offering bundle is from a bright apple coral point with red coral and lapis lazuli beads.
