Ladybug On Maple Leaf

By Cheryl Beyuka

This offering is sold.
The Beyuka family was originally well-known for their wonderful inlaid jewelry until Cheryl Beyuka started carving fetishes with the help of her husband Elvis Westika years ago. She then taught her brother Philbert Beyuka and her son Eli Westika to carve. Brightening up our day is Cheryl's darling apple coral, jet and turquoise-eyed ladybug permanently sitting on a gorgeously carved gold lip mother-of-pearl shell maple leaf. Ladybugs are beneficial beetles that do a garden a great service by consuming harmful insects. Not all ladybugs are red and black either. Their hard outer wings can be yellow or even black and come in a variety of neat patterns. About 2 3/8" long, 1 5/8" wide and 3/8" tall.
