In 1985, Zuni artists Georgette Quam Lunasee and Reynold Lunasee started carving together. Her first carving was a
Frog while his was a
Bear. Georgette sculpted a cheery little ladybug from apple coral and jet, accented with both turquoise and jet inlays. Reynold did the sanding and buffing. Happily eating aphids off a gorgeous turquoise leaf, measurements of the beetle and plant organ are about 2 1/8" long, 1 5/8" wide and 1/2" tall.
