An impressive sea Turtle's carapace is meticulously inlaid with turquoise heartlines or breath paths going in every direction, a stunning contrast to the onyx specimen. Kenric Laiwakete's father is carver Bernard Laiwakete, one of several brothers who are fetish carvers from greater Mahooty, Lasiloo and Laiwakete family of Zuni Pueblo artists. Measurements of this wonderful reptile with gentle turquoise eyes are approximately 3 1/4" long, 2 3/8" wide and 5/8" tall.
