Hunting River Otter

Although river otters are energetically playful, they're also skilled hunters who sometimes work collaboratively to trap food. Inquisitive water creatures, they approach life with curiosity even holding their noses high when investigating something interesting. Daphne and Leland Boone's river otter or sea otter with coral inlaid eyes, emerges with sleek fur sculpted from sodalite to a dimension of approximately 3 5/8" long, 3/4" wide and 1" tall. A small cross-hatched fish from iridescent abalone with a turquoise eye is held in the mouth of this water friend.
