Hummingbirds are important pollinators. Botanists and biologists have identified more than 150 native plant species that have tube-shaped flowers that rely on a hummingbird's feeding. A symbiotic relationship because a hummingbird eats the nectar and spreads a plant's pollen in the process. Justin Red Elk's wonderful dolomite hummingbird has a painted toothpick beak and eyes from jet inlays. About 1 1/2" tall, 3/4" wide and 1 3/8" deep.
