Most often seen on Third Mesa, Heheya Katsina is a messenger to the Rain Gods and a reminder not to stray from traditional Hopi ways. Adrian Leon's miniature Hopi Yellow Heheya katsina doll is an amazing 2 1/4" tall, 1 3/8" wide and 1" deep, measurements include base. It's hand-carved from cottonwood and painted with vibrant acrylic paints. Other wonderful details include string, embroidery thread, cloth, feathers and pipe cleaner.
