Traditional outdoor ovens are seen in Zuni and other Pueblos sometimes called hornos. In Zuni the oven is called hebok'onne which refers to the convex shape of the mud used in making the structure. Angel Yatsayte's precious pinewood ovens are hot and ready for the two plump sourdough loaves resting on the paddle. A cleaning broom is from pinewood and cedar leaves. Pyrogravure accents the hand-carved woodwork that's about 3 1/8" long, 3 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" tall. Signed by the artist.
