An important religious katsina ceremony takes place once a year at Zuni Pueblo in which Shalako makes an appearance. A beloved messenger from the Rain Gods, Shalako stands ten feet tall. Zuni Pueblo painter Edward Lewis' pipestone point pendant depicts this sacred messenger, gorgeously hand-painted with exciting acrylic paints. Including the lovely twisted silver bale fixture, this pendant hangs at about 4" long and is 1 1/8" wide. Signed by the artist. The silver snake chain is not included but is available and sold separately here.
