Lizards are found on every continent. They are a keystone species, important both as predator and prey. Those that are herbivores are vital seed dispersers and some are pollinators too. In some places, reptiles help control agricultural pests such as insects and rodents. Bernie Laselute's skill and artistry determines how much excess material to remove from the Picasso marble, the detailing, sanding and polishing, all of which an experienced carver like him knows well. Eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 3" long, 1" wide and 5/8" tall.
