Lynn Quam descends from the late Johnny Quam and Westika family of noted Zuni artists. His siblings include the late carvers Rhoda Quam and Pernell Gasper, as well as jeweler Nancy Westika. Their mother was wonderful jeweler Annie Gasper Quam who also learned to make fetishes from her father Johnny Quam. Sculpted from onyx, Lynn's bushytail (Wolf, Coyote or Fox) emerges from a secluded spot with good cover. Observant eyes are from turquoise inlays. A colorful sodalite point with red coral, melon shell, heishe and lapis beads is contained in the offering bundle of gratitude for beneficial wild canines. About 3 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 1 5/8" tall.
