Vivella Cheama is a wonderful carver of beloved ducks. Her careful observation, study and practice in sculpting ducks over the years has resulted in water birds that are very collectible. Revered at Zuni Pueblo, ducks are confident on both land, in bodies of water and flying high in the air. Many duck species prefer to migrate to warmer wintering grounds before the cold season arrives. Vivella's gorgeous ricolite duck prefers to float a while longer enjoying tranquil waters through turquoise inlaid eyes. Plumage is impeccably incised. About 2 3/4" long, 3/4" wide and 1" tall.
