Mysterious eels have superpowers. Some can generate electrical discharges, while others can surprisingly survive in muddy waters. Eels are primarily predatory with carnivorous diets. They are a diverse group of fish with long narrow bodies like snakes.
Keli'i Eli's awesome eel has been masterfully sculpted from just one specimen of fresh watermelon serpentine and inlaid with a verdant malachite eye. The dendritic spotted patterns are gorgeous. We admire the creative use of the rose pink areas for the eel itself and the lovely lighter portion for its base. Back fins are elegantly etched and a great sense of movement is brought out in this approximately 3" tall, 2 3/8" wide and 1 1/4" deep water creature. It's been beautifully polished.
