We were honored to host Zuni artists Stewart Quandelacy and Priscilla Lasiloo Quandelacy who were in attendance August 15th, 2026 during Market Weekend at our Keshi gallery. They showed many wonderful carvings. A denim lapis Medicine-bear (or Bear) has amazing white and grey calcite inclusions. Specimens of lapis that have a lot of calcite in them are given the trade name denim lapis because of a resemblance to wonderful faded denim. Turquoise is inlaid for an alternating heartline or breath path and focused eyes. About 2" long, 3/8" wide and 1 3/4" tall.
