Pinolith stone is named for the appearance of lovely magnesite inclusions that look like pine kernels. It is a rare semi-precious material found in Austria, Spain and Canada, said to hold healing properties. Eddington Hannaweeke's standing Bear is carved from pinolith to a height of approximately 2". Measurements include a width of 1" and 3/4" deep. An adorable face is inlaid with turquoise eyes and the natural feature of the stone serves as a cute nose. A miniature offering necklace that's permanently attached has fine heishe, turquoise and red coral beads.
