Kevin Chapman's Picasso marble carving depicts a Corn maiden and a Butterfly maiden merged as one, gracing us with feminine strength and beauty. In nature, a butterfly is a pollinator of many life-sustaining foods such as sacred corn. Long flowing hair is beautifully etched as are individual corn kernels, airy wings, Dragonfly and star elements. Her facial features are incised and perhaps antennae is present as well. About 3" tall, 2" wide and 3/4" deep.
