Intelligent wild canines are a gift from the Creator. Hated by European colonizers, the United States government persecuted coyotes and other vital wildlife by establishing The Bureau of Biological Survey's Eradication Methods Laboratory. Laying down newly developed poisons between about 1947 and 1956, the bureau killed approximately 6.5 million coyotes and other essential wildlife.

Coyotes are unsung heroes who regulate small animal populations and consume carcasses that if left untouched could spread disease to us. Coyotes have important hunting medicine too. Carved from rich leopard marble, Stewart Quandelacy and Priscilla Lasiloo Quandelacy's Coyote (Fox or Wolf) teaches us to respect all wildlife and their role in the circle of life. Eyes and an alternating heartline or breath path are from turquoise. About 3" tall, 5/8" wide and 2" long.
