Acoma Pueblo potter Rachel Concho learned traditional pottery making from her mother Santana Cerno (d). Garnering many awards, her potteries are displayed in noted museums including the Smithsonian Institution. Now a wonderful Acoma elder, she still produces dynamic works like this lovely collectible bowl. You can feel and see the love she put into creating this fabulous piece. It is hand-coiled with rich natural clay and hand-painted with pigments depicting traditional designs so gorgeous you can't take your eyes off it. Approximately 2 3/4" tall, 5 1/4" wide and 5" deep. Signed by the artist.
