Hayes Leekya and his brothers Freddie and Delvin, continue in their late grandfather Leekya Deyuse's iconic carving legacy. Hayes' earth-hugging Badger from marble has an offering bundle which includes a gorgeously carved leaf element from a red-orange spiny oyster shell, pen shell and turquoise. The leaf motif is a nod to his grandpa who was known for unusual carvings of human figures, hands, feet and plant forms, especially leaves. Determined eyes are from pen shell inlays. About 4 3/4" long, 3 1/4" wide and 2" tall.
