Ravens usually nest in the springtime with both parents raising their chicks. Nelson Yatsattie calls his wonderful turquoise-eyed corvid a raven chick, which has grown strong and practices for its first fledge. Young ravens mature slowly, spending several months in association with their parents after leaving the family nest.
