Bison are critical to grassland and other environments as Mother Earth's ecological engineers. They have the ability to graze in a mosaic pattern clipping just enough so plants grow back succulent and nutritious for other animal species. Stewart Quandelacy's bison peacefully feeds carved from labradorite, a feldspar mineral. An alternating heartline or breath path and eyes are from colorful sky blue turquoise inlays. About 3 3/8" long, 7/8" wide and 2 1/8" tall.
